Sunny Day provides opportunities for adults 18 & up with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Augusta, Rockingham, and Rockbridge counties to connect through educational, social, and recreational activities facilitated by members of our local community! will enable individuals with IDD to: - connect with others - share your experiences - explore new opportunities Check out a few Activities below! Birthday Club: Sunny Day Members are encouraged to share in the celebration by sending cards to Members each month. When it’s your birthday, we’ll mail you your Birthday Card Bundle! Game Nights: Join us for fun-filled game nights with Bingo and other games! Sunny Day Members receive a Bingo Board in your Welcome Gift!
Card Making: Join us monthly to make homemade birthday/holiday cards! Get new ideas to make fun cards for you family and friends!
Sunny Day Volunteers will lead programs on a one-time, weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly basis. During events they will meet with Sunny Day members to present information, lead activities, and/or guide discussions.
The topics for different programs are endless. We want you to lead a topic that inspires you; baking, crafting, health/fitness, nutrition, etc.! Zoom support will be provided by Sunny Day!
